Facility plan approval files, <1969>-[ongoing].

The Division of Water Pollution Control develops and implements programs to prevent or clean up the pollution of surface and ground water in Massachusetts. Entities authorized to construct, own, operate, extend or, improve abatement facilities must submit preliminary engineering reports of final engineering plans to the division for approval (MGLA C 21, s 33B). Approval files were created by the division to review, revise, and approve plans for treatment facilities.
